Getting everything together to leave... yikes! Driving to New York tomorrow day for a night flight, then spending most of the next day at Heathrow airport in London. :( Had hoped to see some of the city during my 12 hour layover, but I didn't know it was 40 minutes from the airport to London proper. That's okay, I still have English pounds to marvel at.
Between my carry-on, purse, shopping bag of gifts, and checked luggage, I'm going to be a quite a pack mule. I AM excited about wearing my new sunhat. Probably won't improve my tourist image, but damn is it a fine hat!
After that, night flight out of London to arrive Friday morning in... INDIA.

ReplyDeleteI just had word from your mom that you are on your way to India. Pat and I have traveled the world, but never to India. We did try to connect to a group here in Florida, but needed ten travelers and only came up with six. The trip never materialized. We are bummed as we were really ready to go!
I hope you will keep us posted on what is happening in your life in India. I have very mixed feelings about that country and need to see for myself what goes on there. Perhaps someday, we too will have the opportunity to visit. Keep in touch and we will do the same.
