Flight from NY to London-- I'm a bloody foriegner :)

Just arrived in London-- after waiting for a bit in the customs line. You see, I was trying to get to this little, airport hotel I'm staying in called Yotel, and I almost went through the customs line until one of the airport staff advised me to go to the correct terminal before crossing the border. BAD IDEA. It took about 45 minutes to get through this line. However, I was able to waste enough time to be able to check into my "cubby" at the correct time.

And by cubby I mean my Yotel room. It's really WILD. Click here to visit their website-- I hope to post my own pictures soon. The room is impossibly small, with a little bed "embedded" in one wall. There is a, no joke, 1x6 foot tile area that serves as space for the shower, toilet, and sink. The TV is positioned right above the bed in the alcove. Oh yes, and the lighting is purple. It's very relaxing actually... I'm not even very sleepy from the flight and it makes me want to nap.

Flight was kind of arduous. Unlike my uncle promised, there was no fat, Ukranian garlic salesman sitting next to me, but even with two chairs, sleeping was not very comfortable. Watched a movie called "The International," and probably didn't sleep very much, though I feel great now that I'm in a new place. Sat next to a family of Orthodox Jews in the middle rows... I think they had 5 kids and the mother was expecting. The father and the older boy wore big black hats that reminded me very much of the one Matt Sanyour always wears. They were interesting... didn't manage to pick up much Hebrew, but not for lack of trying.

I have time to kill before my 9:25pm flight (it's 11:10am now) so... I'm going to try to make it into the city! Will take camera and be total tourist :)

ps. Saw Ireland while flying over. Unfortunately, that's as close as I'll get to the Motherland on this trip, but it was still cool to see it from the air. Lots of cute farmland.
